¿Qué sería un 6 de enero sin un Roscón de Reyes? Una tradición española que puede remontarse a la época de los romanos! "He aquí el Roscón de Reyes, tradición de un gran banquete en el cual hay dos sorpresas para los que tengan suerte. En él hay, muy bien ocultas, un haba y una figura; el que lo vaya a cortar hágalo sin travesura. Quien en la boca se encuentre una cosa un tanto dura, a lo peor es el haba, a lo mejor la figura. Si es el haba lo encontrado este postre pagarás, más si ello es la figura, coronado y REY serás"!!!!

SAN MARCOS DE LEÓN!!!

Junto al río Bernesga en la ciudad de León, y convertido hoy en día en Parador de Turismo, el edificio conocido como Hostal de San Marcos alberga además la iglesia consagrada en 1541 y el Museo de León desde 1869. El conjunto es una buena representación del Renacimiento hispano, con una impresionante fachada plateresca, rematada en crestería y candelabros. En su interior, además del claustro, se conservan innumerables colecciones de arte y decorativas, pinturas de la antigua escuela flamenca, tallas de madera, muebles recuperados de iglesias, tapices y otras obras de época. Si te hospedas unos días aquí, no hay lugar a dudas de que te trasladarás a otra época!!!! Disfruta!!!!

LOS JAMEOS DEL AGUA!!!

Curiosidades hay muchas, pero si quieres ver algo único, en el norte de la volcánica isla de Lanzarote, en las Islas Canarias, en el Jameo (tubo volcánico) existe una cueva que en su interior alberga un lago natural de aguas transparentes, en las que viven unos diminutos cangrejos, albinos y ciegos, una especie endémica de la isla, de origen desconocido. El artista lanzaroteño, César Manrique los ha utilizado como símbolo de los Jameos!!  Hay que acercarse bien al agua y fijarse mucho para verlos, porque son realmente una miniatura!. Recuerda siempre una cosa, no hagas ruido pues no se pueden molestar, así que ya sabes: Shhhh!!!!!

LA DAMA DE SILGAR!!!

Sobre una roca y en el medio del mar, se encuentra La Dama de Silgar, una especie de mujer caracola, que a algunos por la similitud del tema nos viene a la memoria La Sirenita de Copenhague, pero en este caso se trata de una escultura del artista gallego Alfonso Vilar Lamelas y está localizada en el municipio gallego de Sanxenxo, lugar turístico muy concurrido en la época estival.
En el mirador del paseo marítimo, también está Hola Margarita!, una escultura del año 2003, del orensano Acisclo Manzano. El que se acerque a Sanxenxo, no solo podrá disfrutar del sol, de la playa o del ambiente del pequeño municipio, también admirar la belleza de algunas de estas esculturas!!

Michel de Montaigne fue un escritor, humanista, filósofo, moralista y político francés del Renacimiento. Su estatua levantada en 1930, se encuentra en la Square Paul Painlevé en el céntrico Barrio Latino de París. Situada delante de la Universidad de La Sorbonne, sirve de amuleto para los estudiantes, quienes antes de los exámenes le tocan el pie derecho!!! Good Luck!!!
