Siempre me llamaron la atención los bancos de granito con respaldo de hierro fundido que hay en el Paseo Central de la Alameda de Santiago de Compostela. Aunque no son lo únicos, también los hay de otro tipo y no menos bonitos, en madera y pintados de verde, que los puedes encontrar tanto en el Paseo central como a lo largo del Paseo de la Herradura. ¿Quién que haya pasado su infancia en Santiago no tiene una foto agarrándose al granito de estos bancos? ¿Cuántos "potitos" (baby food) hemos comido ahí sentados, en las cálidas tardes de primavera, mientras nuestra atención se dirigía hacia los lindos patitos del estanque?

I am always struck by the granite benches with cast iron back there on the Paseo Central de la Alameda in Santiago de Compostela. Though they are not unique, there are also other and no less beautiful, wood and painted green, which you can find both in the Paseo Central along the Paseo de la Herradura. Who that has spent his childhood in Santiago does not have a picture holding the granite of this benches? How many "jars" (baby food) eaten there we sat in the warm spring afternoon, while our attention was directed towards the cute ducks on the pond?
