Alicante or Alacant in Valencian language, is a city of privileged Mediterranean climate and mild temperatures throughout the year. Paradise of sun, beaches and the famous "paella alicantina" (typical rice). It has an
important marina located in a
beautiful setting for
walking and as a
symbol representative
of the city, has the
Santa Barbara
Castle, a Moorish castle (ss. XIV-XVIII), located
at the top of Mount Benacantil, where can see very clearly the Tabarca Island.
The Esplanade of Spain, also known as the Walk of the Esplanade, is composed of more than six million tesserae (small tiles) forming an undulating mosaic inspired by the waves of the Mediterranean, red, blue and white. The Walk is completed by four rows of palm trees that run over 500 meters long. A symbol of identity for Alicante and true tourist icon of the city.
